New Mapping Tool!

11/16/2014

After an exhaustive search (two google searches and three link checks), I've added a new weapon to my novelizing roster.  I've started using Campaign Cartographer 3 or CC3 for short.  I made a new map up on www.holimoren.com and it looks WAY better than the mspaint looking things I was making before.  Sadly, it will take a long time to get the original map of Holimoren moved into it, but I will be working on that when time allows.  I'm sure you'll also see improvements in the maps over time.  I regret not having a map of Holimoren in Fortress of Angels, and given the distances traveled in my next offering (Journey to Redemption) a map is a must.   Let me know what you think of the maps, and as always, thanks for your support.

Next Book Teaser

The next book is starting its long Journey To being in your hands and on your Kindle.  I have the finished draft from a few NaNoWriMo ago, but I need to move some things around.  Here's what I will tell you about at this stage:  It's another Dar book.  He's older, a little wiser, but doubting himself after a bad run.  In Holimoren, Redemption is a town near the center of the continent that the dying go to in order to cleanse their souls in the eyes of the Gods.
I'll post progress as it is made.  If your interested in more details, post a comment!  Also I've included all the words to the title in posting.  See if you can figure it out ;)

Fortress of Angels Preview Chapters

The Amazon listing of Fortress of Angels has one and half sample chapters that you can read for free.  They are called "Daybreak" and "Mice" and they introduce the hero Dar and start off the plot.  At the book page, just click on the "Look inside" notation on the cover and poof you're reading it!
Since this is the first book in my publishing career, I've priced it very low to get people into the world of Holimoren.  Please let me know what you think by posting a review on Amazon please!

Behind the Scene's Crew

A lot of e-author's make a couple of classic mistakes. First they get into a land war in Asia.  Second, they don't get their works professionally edited.  I have selected Indigo Editing as my helper team.  They (Susan and Vinnie) have refined my prose, created my book covers and kindled up my manuscript all at pretty reasonable rates.  They have always delivered on time, and put up with my diva tantrums!  I recommend you go local and find a good editing house where you live, but I know you will get along with Indigo.  And no, they didn't pay me to say this.  In fact I paid THEM.  And I'm very glad I did.

And lo the blog was created

Creating this site was actually pretty hard.  I'm not so good being all chatty about myself.  I'm a bit of a wallflower, but I can be an extrovert on demand.  In my hopefully soon to be ex day job (MHSTBXDJ for short) I often to "booth babe" duty.  "But D?"  I hear you asking "Your ummm... NOT a Booth Babe!"  Very true, but Booth Monkey doesn't sound as nice.  Well now that this site is created, time to fill this blog with amusing stories about my books, short stories, character profiles and other things.  See my other site, www.Holimoren.com for more stuff too!

    The Rants

This is where D will go off on what is good, bad and just straight up odd about things.  Warning:  May be weird and random at times.
